In 2019, the UK became the first major economy to adopt a legal commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

 

Procurement Policy Note 06/21 has been live since 30th September 2021 and updated as PPN 006, effective from 24 February 2025.  This requires suppliers bidding for major government contracts to commit to achieving net zero by 2050 and to publish a Carbon Reduction Plan showing how they will do this.

 

Suppliers who fail to make this commitment or publish their plan risk being excluded from the procurement process.

 

This webinar will help suppliers in the creation of a carbon reduction plan and answer any questions around this requirement.
