With as much as 80% of emissions coming from supply chains, and c.£300bn in annual procurement spend, government departments cannot progress towards sustainability targets without embedding them into their procurement practises. This requires a holistic commercial approach, addressing sustainability both from the top-level commercial strategy, through to the specific decision points within every procurement process.

Colleagues from PA Consulting will join us to discuss the biggest challenges facing departments in embedding sustainability into procurement activity, and help identify the core areas that must be addressed to properly leverage government spending to drive sustainability progress.
