We’re pleased to invite you to our next Skills Academy learning event.

With an increased focus on reducing costs post pandemic and delivering more complex projects with larger volumes, effective contract management is vital to ensure both parties meet their obligations and key objectives are met.

During this session we will look at the importance of contract management throughout the commercial lifecycle of the contract, and explore the 8 key factors to ensure successful contract management.

Claire Chambers – Head of Commercial Capability, BlueLight Commercial

Claire has enjoyed a career of 20 years in a broad range of roles within the private and public sector, leading multi-cultural cross functional teams delivering change, capability and improvement.

In BlueLight Commercial Claire leads the Capability & HR Team covering HR, Recruitment, Training and Development. Developing courses, such as Contract Management, as well as a Capability Framework, designed to improve the commercial capability of leaders, commercial professional and operational teams within Blue light Services.

Claire Cuttell MCIPS – Commercial Specialist, BlueLight Commercial

Claire, started as a Project Officer in the Regional Police Programme Team for the Yorkshire and Humber Police Forces where she worked on a number of regional projects, including the regionalisation of the four police procurement units.

Claire went on to become the Business and Performance Manager for the Regional Procurement Unit before being appointed as Regional Contract Manager for Healthcare in Custody and Sexual Assault Referral Centres for the four Police Forces and OPCC’s. Claire went on to study for her CIPS qualification and was later appointed Senior Category Manager. In BlueLight Commercial, Claire leads the Healthcare and Victim Services portfolio, leading on the national workstream for healthcare and forensic services.

Jon Rawling – Regional Commercial Director, BlueLight Commercial

Jon has over 20 years of experience in procurement primarily in the steel industry, latterly as Head of Procurement at Liberty Steel. In his career Jon has covered a wide range of categories across supply chain planning, direct materials, indirect materials and major capex and opex projects working across multiple sites and geographies.

At BlueLight Commercial, Jon leads the Estates team who provide national advice and guidance on a range of areas from Construction, Energy, to Furniture. He also has heavy involvement in the Policing Sustainability Programme which is undertaking the decarbonisation of Estates and Fleet across forces in England and Wales.
