Employee Benefits

Crown Commercial Services (CCS) is working to develop an agreement for the provision of employee benefits, rewards and recognition for public sector organisations.


The agreement will be used by eligible central government departments, their arm’s length bodies and agencies, and all other UK public sector bodies, including local authorities, health, police, fire and rescue, education, and devolved administrations. It is intended that this agreement will become the recommended model used by UK central government departments, including those with locations overseas.

The agreement will provide access to a wide range of flexible, voluntary and salary benefits such as:

  • Childcare vouchers
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Employee discounts
  • Gym membership
  • Financial wellbeing
  • Low emission cars
  • Payroll giving
  • Reward and recognition programme

The service will be delivered through an on-line benefits portal with multi-media access.  (The security of employee personal data will be subject to assurance by the CCS Senior Information Risk Officer).

The service will provide flexibility in the choice of benefits for employers with scope to include additional benefits and to enable personalisation of benefits for employees.

Market engagement

A Prior Information Notice (PIN) has recently been published. We are currently engaging with suppliers who operate in this market to gain a greater understanding of the marketplace.
