We’re working with NHS Procurement in Partnership to provide health workforce services
As the biggest public procurement partnership in the UK, the Workforce Alliance brings together the procurement and commercial expertise of the NHS and Crown Commercial Service.
NHS Procurement in Partnership is a collaboration of 4 NHS procurement hubs:
- NHS Commercial Solutions
- NHS East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub
- NHS London Procurement Partnership
- NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative
The alliance partners are working together to help avoid unnecessary duplication and influence the procurement landscape to benefit the NHS. As procurement leaders we want to provide the NHS with a sustainable workforce model to help address the staffing crisis.
The alliance has a long-term plan to create a whole portfolio of health workforce services, to support the recruitment recommendations set out in the NHS Long Term Plan and the NHS People Plan.
Why work with us?
The alliance provides the NHS with compliant and straightforward routes to market, as well as expert category advice and support, to help you to create and maintain a sustainable workforce:
- recruit permanent staff domestically and internationally
- roster current staff efficiently using eRostering and eJob planning solutions
- run retention programmes
- outsource managed bank
- workforce consultancy and advice
- NHS Improvement approved frameworks to source agency staff
The health workforce frameworks
Experienced international recruitment organisations working to a framework wide standard of quality to help you fill permanent clinical healthcare professional vacancies.
Staff bank services to help you flexibly manage your clinical and non-clinical temporary workforce, and maximise shift fill rates (filled by bank).
This agreement will replace all of the alliance’s existing clinical frameworks.
Its launch has been delayed until late September 2020 to avoid placing further administrative demands on you during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
A further 6 month extension has been granted on both Multidisciplinary Temporary Healthcare Personnel (RM3711) and National Clinical Staffing (NHSCPP2015/011). These frameworks will now expire on 7 February 2021.
We hope the combination of launching the new framework in September, along with the extension of these existing frameworks, will give you a substantive period of transition between the agreements.
Workforce support and technology services
We’ve selected the best aspects of our existing support and technology frameworks and put them in one place as a joint offer under the Workforce Alliance. The offer is aimed at providing NHS trusts with a route to source additional services to support health HR and workforce functions.
General recruitment, executive search and talent mapping to help you with your non-clinical permanent, fixed term and inward secondment requirements.
A wide range of occupational health and employee assistance services, with telephone and online support.
From a single learning requirement to a fully managed service or bespoke solution to complement your in-house resources. All based on a catalogue of courses.
Consultancy services ranging from dispute management and employee relations to recruitment policy, terms and conditions and governance reviews.
eRostering, HR and payroll systems specifically designed to meet the requirements of trusts. Developed with input from the Department of Health and Social Care and the NHS, systems include timesheet approvals and staff bank management systems.
