Our selection of construction frameworks are built using an industry standard framework alliance contract, also known as an FAC-1. To use an FAC-1 and any of our construction frameworks, you must be a registered Alliance Member who has signed a common legal agreement which aligns strategic objectives, risks, success measures and incentives which encourages collaborative working.
Let us help you build a stronger future
We know your buying decisions have the power to really drive how effective and efficient your building assets are. That is why we are developing new and innovative solutions so our construction services meet the needs of the whole of the public sector to design, manage, onsite construct, offsite manufacturer, repair, demolish and decommission as needed across the UK.
We offer the biggest construction commercial agreements in the country, driving industry change in support of the government’s construction strategy. They include flexible procurement and contract options and we have a team packed full of industry experience from multiple sectors and all tiers of the supply chain to support customers and suppliers. Our construction agreements provide value for money solutions with the lowest levy to suppliers and income, invested back into the public sector to support government for future iterations.

Helping the public sector to build back better
We also help you to deliver against government policies. This includes working with SMEs, driving standardisation, fair payment, apprenticeships, modern slavery, social value, modern methods of construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital, and compliance with environmental, security and health and safety standards.
The Construction Playbook aims to encourage collaboration and better strategic relationships between the public and private sectors and to drive improvement and innovation within the construction industry.
Having been an integral part of the task force in its development, CCS continues to be part of the steering group supporting and overseeing the Playbook’s implementation.
We have been able to put a lot of the Playbook’s policy areas into practice during our support to customers in response to COVID-19 and our current construction agreements include all of these policy areas, putting us in a great position to support you at any stage of your project or programme, and giving you the assurance that you are contributing to a more robust and sustainable industry which can build back better.

In these days of climate concern, the UK government is spearheading the move towards zero emissions. Eco-friendly and sustainable construction solutions are crucial if the UK is to meet the net zero emission targets set for 2050, now enshrined in UK Law.
While current use of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) is still relatively low, there is an increasing acceptance of the importance of eco-friendly solutions and the need to embrace MMC. It’s incumbent on constructors and their customers to consider the environment in their projects.
Designing for efficient use of assets is key and we can support you with appropriate material selection, expert advice from within our supply chain and help you benefit from early decision making to achieve the outcomes you need.
